Hello, I am Mrs. Auslander and I have been a teacher in Mt. Lebanon for 19years! I grew up in Mt. Lebanon and I went to Jefferson Elementary.When I was a kid I loved to play school at home. I would make my younger brother be my student! Now, I live in Upper St. Clair with my husband and my two children. My son, Jonah, is in ninth grade. My daughter, Eden, is in seventh grade.
In my spare time I like to read, cook, and jog. As a family we play lots of sports and games. We enjoy hiking and biking, as well. Every year we go to the beach for a summer vacation. I am a Steeler fan, but I also cheer for my college team, the University of Michigan.
My family has two cats named Jack and Luigi. Both of our cats are very big, over 20 pounds! They are very soft and furry and they love to be petted. They are like "gentle giants!"
I have taught every elementary grade, except for first grade. I even taught sixth grade when that grade was still in the elementary schools. I often run into my former students and some of them have become teachers, too! Being a teacher is a wonderful job. It is really great to see my students learn new things, make new friends, and work together!
